In addition to the cigarette butts, the sidewalk is almost blocked by overgrown weeds and plants. The corner garden has not been well maintained.

It would appear that the cigarette butts and weeds growing into the sidewalk are on private property not maintained by the city. Staff will make a site visit to further investigate. If vegetation blocks passage significantly the issue can be forwarded to zoning for enforcement.

Staff reviewed the site with the café manager and they will be having their landscaper address the referenced issues.
