I would hope that the State of CA could do better than leaving these tree trunks near the State Office building.

Trees are beautiful...however...there's some downright dumb tree planting/ planning going on in Oakland...this is just one example....a tree planted in a space that ...like the sidewalk on 29th / Telegraph...there's first of all...no real place for it...and secondly...it comes close obstructing the pedestrian area !...I mean...look first...ok...before plunking a treelet into the ground !!
