Description

The pedestrian passage under the tracks on Medford St., right after Target, is unsafe. It's dark; there are no street lights even near the openings of the mouth of the tunnel - despite heavy foot traffic. There should be lights under the bridge given all the bus connections that drop off onto McGrath Highway right at the head of Medford street. I am nervous walking it now - I dread walking it in the winter months with my seven year old.
There's also considerable trash and debris on the paths, and the metal chain link fence needs to be replaced. It's been shoddily repaired in a number of places; it careens out over the traffic in some spots and jabs into the walk way in others with raw jagged wire that has cut my son numerous times.
The whole length is a menace that needs serious attention.
