Description
Today I saw a police car (one of the SUVs) pull up beside me at a red light. The officer stopped for a second, looked around and drove straight through the red light. They had no emergency lights flashing and they were driving rather slowly. I caught up with the car eventually on the same street and they still had no lights flashing. Obviously, this officer was not off to an emergency, but rather chose to abuse their power.

This debate has been explored exhaustively in other threads, generating much heat and very little light.
What would be useful would be if someone could find any relevant state statues that detail the circumstances under which police are exempt from traffic laws.

Very rude, and often treats even non-criminals like crap!
Wouldn't surprise me if he was a red light runner. I can find his name sometime soon.
