The City of Raleigh has a bus stop passenger amenity program in order to add new bus stop amenities such as benches and shelters. All new shelter locations must include a full access ADA concrete pad that has gone through design and engineering and approved by NCDOT in some areas. Factors taken into consideration when evaluating locations are ridership, proximity to hospitals and other care facilities, right of way, future transit plans, etc. This location is being monitored for a future shelter site but is not included in plans currently going to construction.
