Description

I have lived at this location for longer than a year and for the last several months I have attempted to address many different issues including termites rats and reoccurring problems with German cockroaches however recently in the last couple of months have addressed a black mold issue at which point he offered to move us down into a new location just downstairs across the way which also has a black mold problem. The black mold here is blistering the walls the beams are wet there are no screens so the doors and windows have to be shut at all times which as I'm aware of reading the codes that is against rental agreement codes between tenant and landlord. My major problem now is that I have not received correspondence back from the landlord as he keeps continuing to push it out longer and longer while my girlfriend has been sick in the hospital due to deep bronchial issues and there is lots of black mold in the bathroom that he has had someone come out and after the inspection said that the black mold is a very big issue that the tile being blistered in the bathroom is symptomatic of a roof leak or a leak somewhere there is many patches on the walls due to leaks and I believe the entire Place may have a black mold issue that my girlfriend continually gets sick because of with bad respiratory issues. The landlord did say he would move me down to another unit however he wanted to charge me more for that unit which I believe is also against codes and regulations regarding tenant landlord agreements in the Florida statute.

The building has recently been sold and I'm not sure what the plans are for the new owners however I have had friends and including the person that the property manager Noah bressack sent out did confirm that the black mold was a problem and that there is a lot of evidence of water damage such as brown and black stains bleeding through the wall paint in the living room the kitchen and the bathroom as well as many holes cracks and crevices that are not feel that leads down to the bottom which is a storage unit where the tenant does not live yet just stores his junk. That tenant has recently moved out however the Cockroach problem is continuing and persistent and the black mold is something that is making me sick and I do not believe this place what's a cyst should be livable until it is brought up to proper living standards as it currently is uninhabitable due to the medical concerns and past issues. It is very uncomfortable to live here and flick cockroaches off of our hands stomachs and chest as we sleep and constantly have respiratory issues such as coughing all night and missing days of work due to deep bronchial problems where the bathroom in most sreas, one could push their hand through any part of the wall and the contents are black, and saturated wood.
