Description

This traffic signal stays green for only 7 seconds for cars coming out of Beverly road. Best case scenario is 3 cars get through the light before it turns yellow. This timing is absolutely ridiculous being right next to one of the city's biggest employers, Hanover Insurance. When employees begin to leave around 4:30, it is very common for cars to back up so far it takes about 5 light cycles to get through. Many employees are seeking alternate routes around this light by going on a variety of back roads. The timing of this light has been changed about 4 times over the last few years. Sometimes they get it right, other times it gets set to this frustrating setting. The company which works on traffic signals is on Lincoln st now as part of the construction project going on. Now would be a perfect opportunity to set it right again.
