Q. Issue description:
A. Near miss incident in which me as pedestrian was almost hit by vehicle on Edgewater turning to Cedar. Incident occurred on July 29, 2016 at 7:36PM. I know there is a camera at Cedar/Nokomis Parkway. Please review the video to see that this intersection of the Nokomis-Minnesota River Regional Trail with Edgewater Blvd is very unsafe. Councilman Quincy likes to tout that there have been no accidents at this intersection and and so the intersection is safe but that is definitely not true. There are many near miss incidents and changes such as permanently closing Edgewater to Cedar should be seriously considered. This is the second near miss incident for me in the past 4 months. If we wait till there is actually an accident at this intersection, I fear someone might be serious hurt and it could be me.
