Description
Penn-dot reconstructed the intersection at State Road and Cottman Ave to help the traffic flow recently but it seems some people don't care about the traffic flow and would rather park in the turn lane in front of 7316 State road backing the traffic up State Road.
This is the right turn lane if your going south on State Road just before Cottman Ave. There are cars and trucks parked there ALL day long during typical business hours. They block up the entire right turn lane from the "no parking past this point sign" right to Cottman Ave. This backs the south bound traffic up on State Road all the way up to Bleigh Ave. When there are no cars or trucks parked there the traffic flows fine. I've called the 15th police district several times but these cars and trucks are parked there on a daily basis. The city is looking for money, well you could park a car there and write tickets all day long! Please send someone out to adjust this. I travel this way to work every day around 3:30 and it's a gamble. If no cars are in the turn lane the traffic flows great. If there are cars there it takes forever down that block of State Road!
