We appreciate your concern, however we are not currently under any water restrictions in Cambridge. We have allowed the abutters of Hastings Square to help maintain and beautify the park. We do not have a city run irrigation system at the park, and the abutters have taken it upon themselves to irrigate the grass in the park. We will make sure they know about your concern, and remind them of proper watering practices.

The point wasn't don't water. The point was don't water when the water will simply evaporate. Plis, Hastings Park is pretty lush and green. Risk of fire is relatively low.
