Description
The guardrail between Edgewood and I-96 does not appear to be designed for the situation of having traffic on both side. It is installed between sections of barrier wall, as if part of the wall failed and was not replaced. Should the missing section of wall be replaced, or the guardrail improved to have a rail on the I-96 side of the posts as well? See picture.

The barrier wall was removed and guardrail and fencing (to block headlights) installed as part of a road project. The guardrail is about 40' away from the edge of the shoulder, which should be outside of the clear zone for westbound I-96 traffic. I will forward this issue to MDOT for review and action as appropriate.
