It was brought to my attention that employees at the Ridgewood recycling center have told residents "not to bother" bringing in their batteries. One can only deduce from this that the DPW promotes adding those harsh metals and acids to our landfills which will eventually seep into our water system. Shame on them. This merits some further investigation. I write a blog on recycling and this is of great concern. (reneesnewworld@blogspot.com)
