Have the trash cans been permanently moved off the street (and sidewalk) save for the approved trash collection day?
Has the ever-increasing layer of debris completely covering the sidewalk in front of that one house been swept/cleared?
Were my tax dollars used to clean up the mess that should be paid for by those specific homeowners?

DPW: it's Wednesday and the trash/recycling toters are still on the street.

I have found Public Works to be great at acknowledging and closing issues (presumably by office staff) but with incomplete or no implementation on the street. But with persistence on SeeClickFix you can (a) get issues resolved and (b) give Public Works the tools to manage better.
Keep it up, you guys. The photos are great, BTW.

I wonder if this isn't a situation where LCI should reach out to the landlord and inform them that their tenants are leaving trash, debris in front of the home so that they can address the issue with them. In the past when I've had issues with renters next door to me leaving out trash that they would not pick up, I reached out to the landlord, complete with pictures, and my neighbor on the other side did the same; he then had a talk with the tenants and the trash issue was resolved.
If you can find out the name of the landlord, multiple neighbors can reach out to that person directly to get them to take some action. If the tenants receive rental assistance, you can call down to LCI and ask for a housing code inspector to come out, which I have also done in the past, and they can pull payments from the landlord until the situation is resolved. It's amazing how fast things can come into compliance when you start shutting off the money.

Glad LCI offered to "visit" (no resolution promises yet though) today so they may have witnessed this mess first hand. I am excited to see the outcome!!

By the way, this is an issue that is caused directly by uncaring residents, but indirectly by the City. Once again, garbage pick up for this row of houses should be made at the entrance of the back driveway. Current pick up at the front curb only provides an excuse for residents not to remove the toters from the street because the steep stairs to the front yards.

Just for the record, I brought this issue up over a year ago. Sight!!

Mario- it seems you my have hit upon the solution. We just need DPW to inform the residents of those homes that they must only put the toters out on Davis Street and then commit to not picking up their toters when on Fountain Street.
DPW and/or LCI- is this a doable solution?

A couple of weeks passed since my last notice about persistent trash at this location. It appeared that some enforcement actions took place. However, whatever it was, it did not have any teeth. Today is Tuesday (a day after garbage pick up) and trash is again all over the side walk.
By the way how is Mayor's Clean City Initiative going to fix this?

SEE-CLICK-FORGET ABOUT IT.
This picture is from today Wednesday, two day days after garbage pick up, one day after election day and one year and a half since I began complaining about the garbage across the street from my house.
