There is currently a No Left Turn sign at the eastbound Columbus intersection but it is completely ineffective. As both a resident and driver, I witness non-bus vehicles turn at this intersection all the time, in fact five at once just this morning while trying to cross the street. Also, at night, cars do not see pedestrians crossing on the blind turn. Finally, Columbus becomes a drag strip for motorcyclists. This reckless racing is bound to end up in severe accidents eventually.

More signs to ignore? We need a design solution. The SE corner encourages drivers fast due to a design that is completely out of place for a pedestrian city.

The traffic patterns in all of downtown need to be evaluated. If you can't turn onto Marin from Columbus how else would you get to the holland tunnel?! Before adjusted traffic patterns, it would be great if someone in JC government could try the commute to NY from different neighborhoods so they could see how horrible the current traffic patterns can be. Thank you.

This complaint will be assigned to our Traffic Engineer. He will survey the intersection to see what if any short and long term improvements can be made at the intersection.
I will report back to you what signs/pavement markings or changes to the intersection are recommended.

Thanks for assigning this to the Traffic Engineer. Please also consider rumble strips and speed bumps with appropriate signage.
