Description
Archived issue 2645058 applies.
When driving EAST on Northampton Blvd and exits to Independence Blvd SOUTH, the short merge lane has vegetation on the driver's LEFT side which obstructs his vision and creates a HAZARD. Also, drivers heading SOUTH on Independence Blvd and coming up on the merge lane from Northampton Blvd, have a hard time seeing vehicles on their RIGHT as they attempt to merge at the YIELD sign.
PLEASE check BOTH merge lanes from Northampton Blvd on to Independence Blvd SOUTH. This creates a safety hazard and liability issue for the city. Next step is to elevate to Dave Hansen for action.

MINIMAL clearing of vegetation inside of the front of the guardrail was done. It is apparent it was done just to be done and close the ticket. Vegetation still SIGNIFICANTLY blocks the vision of the driver merging on to Independence Blvd, and for drivers heading south on Independence Blvd where their ability to see cars coming from the ramp, is hindered. LAZY.
Besides closing the ticket, the "verified official" should state what action has been taken and why the HAZARD has not been properly addressed and inspected.
