I agree with the reporter.
People who rent their home have every right to live in a clean, neat environment. It is unacceptable that these conditions are allowed to
exist unchecked. Driving up and down Montello St. there are many properties in similar condition. City of Champions??

These conditions are why our tenants don't stay put and soon realize they are living in a blighted area, want to move to a nicer environment. We keep up our properties, while adjacent properties are allowed to have no standards for Health and Human Habitation and decay.

I totally disagree with Ordinance Enforcement 2 assessment of mowed grass and no trash. Pictures don't lie and by any objective standard, this place is a mess. Just because the main body of the lawn was weed wack, doesn't forgive the fact the entire outside perimeter is overgrown with weeds and long grass that has litter and trash entangled with it. There is also debris piled up around the property that has moved in many weeks. Even the tenants wonder why this guy isn't held to account.
How about dropping the PC BS and do your job!

Gotcha, I can understand your frustration and sympathize with you. I had similar concern with a messy neighbor. In order for them to clean up their place, I had to let them be aware that I was on my way to call the city, and that they had 3 days to clean up.
In addition, "Cars Repair Shop" are popping up all over the place, even in residential neighborhoods. You asked yourself: why would the city allowed a car repair shop to be placed in a residential neighborhood? the answer is simple "Greed".
I voted for major Carpenter, because I believe in him, but now, I don't even know what I believe in anymore.

Code Enforcement 2 thinks this isn't overgrown or trash ridden. I think Mayor Carpenter should personally check this out.

ANYONE WHO PAYS RENT SHOULD HAVE ENOUGH COMMON SENSE TO CLEAN THE OUTSIDE OF THEIR RENTED HOME AS WELL AS THE INSIDE.
