I reported this issue on July 6 and received the above acknowledgement. The situation remains as reported, with no apparent action taken, and I have received no updated information. I would like to know what, if anything Water Pollution Control has done or intends to do to resolve the matter.

Thank you for contacting the City of Huntsville Water Pollution Control Department. Another crew was sent out today and they left a door hanger for the resident. By city ordinance, our crews are NOT permitted to do any work on private property and can only bring attention to the matter with the current resident. This is why this issue has been acknowledged, but not yet closed. It does appear to the supervisor that this is a rental unit which means this issue would be the responsibility of the landlord. It usually takes time to get resolution to a situation such as this so we greatly appreciate your patience while we attempt to have this situation remedied. Huntsville has ordinances for all kinds of things... Is there a timeline/deadline for the landlord to address what could be a public health/safety issue?

After further investigation, the original complaint was repaired by the property owner. Since then, Delta Directional, a contractor for AT&T bored thru the line and damaged it. They repaired the line and the issue has been resolved.
