Description

This issue is along the entire Western Avenue corridor, including Jay St (north and south side), Dodge St (north side), and Soden St (north side).

The planters adjacent to numerous side streets have grown too high to see vehicles driving on Western Ave when pulling out, which is already difficult with the parked cars (all users do not need another obstruction to further impact limited sight lines). In addition, when driving on Western Ave, it is sometimes difficult to see pedestrians or cyclists who are waiting to cross Western Ave or are using the cycle track because of the height of the plants. Please significantly trim all planters so everyone can be visible at all times.

Future consideration for appropriate plant species and height should be better evaluated in the design phase. I do not consider this a maintenance issue, but a design issue.
