I agree. I've seen several near-misses on Golden Gate where the vertical posts have created a very narrow opening for entering Golden Gate. PLEASE remove these ugly and danger-causeing posts and fix the intersection. This is not an improvement.

Disagree with the statement that traffic control changes have created and "extremely dangerous situation." Also, that "all the residents think so." Some residents appreciate that the city responded to concerns about pedestrian safety and speeding. Broader input is obviously warranted, and some changes to the design of the intersection may be sensible.

These new cross walk markings and poles are a nightmare. It's crazy to think that anyone driving from Acacia down Golden Gate would want to swerve out into the middle of the road to go right or that if you wanted to just make a hard right down Cross from Acacia you would start from the middle of the road instead. And as a walker who walks my dog daily down from Buena Vista, it's nuts to have to make a loop across BV to Golden Gate to Cross to Acacia just to get from BV to Acacia on the north side. BTW, I've already seen tire tracks on the cross walk BEHIND the poles. If this was the City's idea of slowing sown traffic on Golden Gate, I'm afraid they'll have to go back to the drawing board.
