Description
Last Sunday, I was visiting beach with my 4 years old daughter. She doesn’t know how to swim yet, so we are using US Coast Guard Approved life jacket, see link(http://www.walmart.com/ip/46519425?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227033977537&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=87912987648&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=122045670288&veh=sem) as well as attached image.
Lifeguards at the beach approached us saying that we are not allowed to have any floatation devices on the beach, and I do see this rule in ‘Town of Framingham Beach Rules and Regulations’. I can see the point of not allowing people to use inflatable devices that obstruct view or taking a lot of space in the swimming area, but prohibiting the use of US Coast Guard Approved life jacket is going a bit over the board and endangering children’s life. I would really appreciate getting some feedback on this matter. I know few residents of town who were very disappointed / upset about this rule that concerns safety of their children.
Thanks,
Dmitriy
