bikes arnt supposed to be ridden on the city side walks any ways.
the city has a ordinance prohibiting such.
that's why you see them created more and more bike lanes on the sides of the roads.
they don't want bikes on the side walks.
just pedestrians and wheel chairs.
HOWEVER it does not excuse them from keeping the trees properly trimmed:)
Thank you for reporting this issue to the City of Portland using SeeClickFix. It has been received as service request ID #53006. Our staff will now begin their investigation.
Spring St. Controller, thanks for the information about bikes forbidden to ride on sidewalks. Poor kids have to risk there life riding in a bike lane. Need to me and sound dangerous.
Thank you city of Portland, I would have trimmed it myself but didn't want any tickets/violations for destroying city property.
Hi Brian - Thanks also for this one, this nice Tree Lilac just needs a few branches pruned to improve access. We will conduct this work with our Portland Forestry crew. Note the new growth & blooms are weighing the branches down. Thanks we will get to this soon !
