I know the city was in a legal battle with the former owner of this house, but can't the city do something to minimize the nasty appearance? Look at the pictures. The porch roof is hanging down, the driveway "wall" is falling apart, there are full garbage cans out back. I don't know why, nobody has lived there in about 9 months. The minimum upkeep is taking place. Honestly the guy the city foreclosed on took pretty good care of the place. It never looked like this.

The City is subject to rigorous legal standards that would prohibit the scenario described by the guest commenter above. Acquisition of this property followed the course described in New York State Law. The process has been challenged by the previous owner, which is why we have not been able to invest more effort and resources into property revitalization.
As Mark notes above, we will work to stabilize and secure the property in the coming days, and once legal challenges have been settled, will take the necessary steps to put the property back into productive use.
Thanks for the opportunity to comment.
