Judy, Althea, Would the resident who noted the "double-wood" email the pole number (s) to me, richard.dwyer@pseg.com, so I can determine if this is a PSE&G or a Verizon issue? Would the resident also email the digital photo of this location; or, is there a way to save the attached photo to my android? Thanks. - Rich
I've complained to Verizon multiple times as well as the BPU. Verizon doesn't care about anyone but themselves. Just look at the mess they make stringing wires. Ever see them take down the old lagacy crap when they do a new Fios install? NO WAY. Just keep making the neighborhood look like an industrial complex.
Mr. Dwyer,
While we understand that PSE&G aren't "technically" responsible for the pole removal because Verizon did not move their wires in the required time frame, you could help us out. PSE&G replaced the poles to add additional PSE&G High Voltage lines. Your company started this mess. Any while we do appreciate the fact that your workers have "pride" unlike Verizon, and do neat work the fact remains that we are stuck with these poles on our street. PSE&G can have them removed in a day with the stroke of a pen.
Anything you could do to help would be appreciated.
Ken
Hello Ken, I have been at the locations and you are correct that all of the wires were transferred. PSE&G is only in a position maintain that which PSE&G is responsible for. If you wish to speak about the issue, my cell phone is (201) 704 - 4570.
The issue is like this:
PSE&G put up new bigger poles to add another circuit to bring power from their sub station on 63rd street to another neighborhood.
Comcast and Verizon got notified to move their infrastructure to the new poles within XX days or accept responsibility for the remaining poles. Verizon did not move their infrastructure in the allotted time and therefore became liable to remove the remainder of the poles. (PSE&G cut the top half off down to Verizon's equipment). Verizon has been completely unresponsive to numerous complaints to both their offices and the Board of Public Utilities. I have myself, lodged 3 complaints with the BPU. Today I got a call from someone in Verizons Media Relations Department who said they will send their Construction Department to check and see if they are the responsible party. Unfortunately I have heard this all before from them. I will not believe they will do anything until i see them actually doing the work. They are one excuse after another. Always lip service and never any action. I will however lodge complaint after complaint with the BPU since that at least gets them to return a phone call.
Hello "marymook," These are not PSE&G poles. They are jointly-owned poles. PSE&G installs the new pole and transfers its equipment and removes the top of the old pole and Verizon removes the old pole and restores the site. - Rich
Sorry for the delay on this. They have identified 15 poles that need to be removed. Due to the size of this project, this will take approximately two to three weeks. @countryvillage1: Can you provide a picture of the box? This could belong to one of many parties.
The boxes hanging all belong to verizon. There are many. Work left unfinished from when they removed them off the old poles. All were left hanging in a mess of wires.
The good news is they started removing the poles.
These pictures are current as the only work performed was the removal of the poles. This condition exists from McGovern Park to OLM church on Sycamore Road. At every pole and on every corner.
I need to know what addresses belong to those pictures. Comcast and Verizon has already been out there and did not identify the issues illustrated in those pictures.
