I did and Animal Control just captured it. It is not a cairn, but some sort of wire terrier, small but longish legs. Spread the word so that the owner may come get it!

I don't think that the owner has picked up the dog yet--I left a message at Animal Control just now and posted a sign at P&M Market last night. We do not know whether he/she knows the dog has been found. Please check the dog's photo--I've seen it before in the area--and tell the dog owners you know about it. That's a powerful information network and we should make use of it. Thank you!

If the owner doesn't show up I know someone in the neighborhood willing to adopt it.

I spoke with Animal Control and as of this afternoon no one had claimed the dog. I would ask that anyone interested in adopting him (it is male) to please call Animal Control to learn more about the process. The woman who answered the phone was very nice, told me that he is beginning to calm down (he was really scared when I found him), and will be getting vet checked tomorrow. Keep spreading the word with other dog owners!
