Description
Brockton needs to establish a FREE needle & medication drop off for those who need medical injections, and for medications mo longer being taken. If we care about our water/soil quality, I suggest this be established ASAP. Additionally, all doctor offices and pharmacies should be REQUIRED to have FREE drop off locations for both needles & prescriptions. Just doesn't make sense not to do this. Please advise - thanks.

Brockton Needle Hotline
The City of Brockton has a hotline telephone number for anyone who finds improperly discarded needles - 508-583-2323. This number directs you to the Brockton Fire Dept. dispatch and if you find a needle that you would like to have removed, a member of the Brockton Refuse Dept. or Brewster Ambulance will come to remove the improperly discarded needle.

Hello Mr. or Ms. Watson,
A family member may drop off any un-needed medications and needles, including properly prescribed supplies to the recycling center on Oak Hill Way. They are equipped to receive them. During business hours of 9-5 pm, the patient or a family member may call the number listed above, 508-583-2323 and qualified personnel will be dispatched to pick up the supplies. Lastly, your doctor's office, or endocrinologist who is monitoring the medical condition like diabetes, will always receive the un-needed supplies. Perhaps they even issued a Sharps Container Biohazard Needle Disposal container for your use. They are also available for purchase at any medical supply outlet or online retailer such as Amazon.com. Have a nice day!
