I understand the police department is very busy. 2 1/2 for a car break in I the middle of the day is too long to wait.
Come on New Haven. Get it together. This is an embarrassment.

Interesting you had a car break-in too. My car was entered by someone between Sunday (6/12) @ 1 PM and Monday (6/13) @ 7 AM. I didn't report the entering/"break-in" since it didn't appear forced (no glass broken, damage, etc..), and nothing of significant value was taken (just an iPhone charger).
My car is parked near 179 Dwight - same neighborhood. Perhaps there should be additional surveillance either digitally or by police. It appears this person(s) may have made a few hits, and is continuing to do so with knowledge this is not a well watched area.

Dear Crime Victim.. if a dispatcher is giving you a hard time like that, you should speak to the supervisor. The calls are recorded,, so log the time and get the dispatcher's name or id number.
JP, the best thing is to organize a block watch and get to know the cops that patrol each shift in your area.
