Typo. Noticed leak on 6/12. Not 6/6.

On Sun. 6/12/16the family that lives at 11461 Somerset Ave. DET. 48224, Opened the fire hydrant across the street from them & used it for hours allowing her kids to run in the water. My concern is how low will the water pressure be if s fire occurs on our block? Also, will our water bills be higher because of the illegal water use? Then, lastly how was the hydrant able to be open and water gashing out for hours? I did call the fire department, but to my knowledge they never came. One of my other neighbors called the water Dept. & also made an attempt to talk to the neighbor who open the fire hydrant, but was unable to convince her to turn off the water. Can this fire hydrant be checked for water pressure & locked for use by the fire department only? Can the city issue a warning to the home owners at 11461 Somerset? Thanks, C. Sumpter
