Sorry, just seeing this. The challenge that we have here is the illegal use of ATVs. Bollards like those along the Farmington canal would still allow this access. There are a few points of entry into the park, Connecticut Ave being the least visible outside of normal working hours when Port Activity decreases. Unfortunately while dismounting to get through is an annoyance the cost associated with repairing playing fields from ATV use gets excessive and allowing easier access would be challenging.
