Description
This railroad crossing has been worked on twice in the last 5 years with CSX making it worse each time. The grade is too high for the street and should be properly repaired. There are numerous vehicles being damaged due to this being improperly graded and repaired each time.

Since under federal law the Town has zero ability to direct CSX to do anything, we suggest that anyone that has a problem at this location contact CSX directly at their website:

You can also call them at 904-359-3200

Bob, I think the key word in your missive is the "week" of July 1.
As we have been told by CSX today (always subject to change with the RR) is that they will close Ames street on Friday or Saturday for up to 5 days to fully rebuild the crossing and siding into the lumber yard, reducing the steep offset between the two tracks and providing a more level crossing.
