I walked through Hunt Park around 1:20 pm this afternoon. I see that the crushed trash can has been removed. Thanks. It hasn't been replaced. As a result there is no longer a trash bin near the SW entrance to the park along Spring St. The blue recycling cart (I mistakenly called this a compost cart earlier) is still there, pushed out of the way up against a fence under some bushes / branches. People seem to be putting trash into the recycling bin. First, can the trash bin be replaced? Second, can the recycling cart be moved out next to the street and next to the trash bin where it will be more visible and more likely to be used?

The automated can will be replaced today on Spring. the recycle cart may need to wheeled in place by park users as it seems no one can agree on the best location for the cart.

There is a new trash bin along Spring St. about two thirds of the way north on the west side of Hunt Park near the picnic table. Thanks. The trash can that was crushed had been located at the far south end of the park, also along Spring St. So, there is no trash can at the old location and a new trash can at a new location.

Yesterday I moved the recycle cart from the south end of Hunt Park to be next to the newly placed trash can further north on Sprint St. I also moved a recycling cart from next to the baseball backstop to be next to the trash can at the entrance to the part along Daniel. There are four trash cans and three recycling carts in the park. All of the cans and carts are paired except for the single trash can at the northeast corner of the park along Daniel (see photo).
