Description

Since purchasing my two recyclable cans over a year ago their contents have been picked up on ONLY one occasion! And despite repeatedly calling Advanced Disposal both before my recyclables should have been picked up and then again AFTER they were not picked up I STILL have two full cans of recyclables that have not been emptied for at least 6 months by now!

To make matters worse I now have a huge amount of cardboard I have saved to be recycled which is an enormous eyesore by taking up space in both my driveway and living room. The only solution I can think of for this kind of incompetence that must be commonplace with Advanced Disposal is to have the company fined $100 for each recyclable can they do not pick up on two consecutive occasions.

My God, the average resident can be fined $100 for simply having their container placed out for collection too early or for not taking them away from the curb in a timely manner. Which seems to me and is a no-brainer that ANY company which has contracted with the city to provide a certain service and then repeatedly fails to provide that service should face some kind of monetary damages to help them fulfill the contract they were awarded.*

AWARDED* But then the homeowners and renters of Detroit are always the last to know about any kickbacks and other gross corruption that takes place and which we simply take for granted is business as usual.
