Description

There is a dead rat on the south side of the bushes that ring the fountain in Grand Circus Park, east of Woodward. If you walk along the grassy side of the bushes, you won't miss it. I came upon it this morning while walking my dogs. It is in plain view on the fringe of where the bushes meet the grass. Thank you.
UPDATE: 3 days later and this dead rat remains in Grand Circus Park in plain sight despite thousands of baseball fans passing through each day this weekend. It really reflects poorly on the city when a dead animal is left to rot in public. It's bad enough to see all the trash that is accumulating in the park every evening, because there isn't any enforcement of the park rules at all. It wasn't like this last year. What happened? Why are we letting this happen to one of our marquee parks? Grand Circus Park is one of the few things people experience when they come to Detroit for the day. By not keeping it clean, we are telling the citizens of Michigan that it's OK to mistreat Detroit's landmarks. I'm very disappointed in what I'm seeing on a daily basis.
