Description
A new Stop sign has been installed on Pleasant St. at this intersection with Fairmont St., and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. It is the intersection of two small, remote, one-way streets, where one of them (Fairmont) already had a Stop sign. It just seems like it was both a waste of resources to install it, as well as an extreme annoyance to residents to have this be here. Now I realize it would more resource wasting to remove it, but it really just makes no sense.
However, if you insist on leaving it up, would you please paint a Stop Line on the ground to help signal drivers to stop at this new sign? I have nearly blown through this Stop sign several times since it was installed, and a Stop Line would greatly help to catch the drivers' attentions.
If you're looking to install Stop Signs (or move this one), might I suggest Pleasant St. @ Franklin St., which is the intersection of two far more used roads where a Stop sign would significantly reduce ambiguity of who has right of way.

Our markings season will begin at the end of June. We have marked this location as a top priority to install the missing STOP bar.
Thank you.
