Couldn't agree more. We have got to find out a way to slow motorists down Maitland. As we all know the speed limit is 25, but I'm afraid 45mph seems to be the average. We're afraid for purr children and elderly. Maitland is NOT a highway.

Everything that our community recommends to help calm traffic in our city should be taken seriously. We continue to face high speeds in a town that is pushing for more pedestrian and cycling traffic. We wont' get it if conditions remain the same or worsen.

I thought this app doesn't cover the city of alameda?

Thank you for your request to help make Alameda’s transportation system as safe and efficient as possible. Public Works, Alameda Police, and the City’s Transportation Planning Unit are developing a list of locations for traffic calming measures for inclusion in Alameda’s 2017-2019 budget. Given tight budget constraints, the list is being generated and prioritized based on a location’s history of reported collisions, police citations, its relationship with existing transportation plans and improvements, and suggestions from members of the public.
