Nothing has been done about this. I first brought this issue up in March. Please change the signage. There are many more options that are better than this. Signs that are less confusing and therefore safer such as the attached picture. They are cheap. I can order one online for $30. I'm happy to spot the state $30 and pay for it myself.

​Again thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Changing the signing for the way an intersection functions especially when it is directly related to safety is something that is done only after it has been fully understood. The intersection has been changed to better reflect how to respond to pedestrians.

Thank you for contacting UDOT regarding this issue. The Flashing Yellow Arrow was intentionally eliminated there for the southbound movement for safety reasons. After a severe crash there between left-turn vehicles and oncoming vehicles and bicycles coming downhill at increasing speeds, it was determined to re-evaluate the permissive left-turn (or yield on yellow) there. While it may increase delay for some traffic heading to Big Cottonwood Canyon, it has improved safety for all drivers and bicyclists on Wasatch Blvd to only allow left-turns on the green arrow. This eliminates the potential for severe crashes there between the left-turn and through traffic. We may re-evaluate this in the future but believe it is in its safest configuration at present.
