The City has been monitoring this area for several months now and considering potential corrective actions. The area is a concern but not considered an emergency situation at this time. Rebuilding the rip/rap seawall will require an extensive shoreline permitting process, and funding of such a project will have to be considered against other critical roadway repair and preservation projects across the island. As an interim safety measure, the City plans to place reflective traffic delineators along the edge of the road where the shoulder has eroded behind the seawall. C Hammer
