If vehicles are parking illegally and are creating a hazard, I suggest you call the Newport Police Department. In the meantime, engineering staff will investigate issue further.

It is not well marked. The yellow paint doesn't stay. The police do tow in the summer, but the problem is that it is not clear that it is a no parking zone. I would need to call the police every day. I really think there needs to ne a no parking sign. Thanks.

Engineering staff has reviewed the area and determined that this area may require City Council approval before restricting parking. This issue must be reviewed by the City’s Interdepartmental Traffic Committee (ITC). Please submit a Citizen Concern Request (CCR) to the Department of Public Services. A CCR form may be obtained at http://www.cityofnewport.com/departments/police/traffic-enforcement.
