Tired of seeing cars race through to avoid traffic! I've even seem them passing the 7:00am school bus! All for speed bumps to deter this activity!!

One thing that would be nice would be people NOT parking like dumb idiots on the curved hill section of Diamond Ridge Ave. It's always fun to drive across there in the oncoming lane, completely blind to oncoming traffic.

Actually we asked the county and they said our community is within the city lines, and they then sent me to the city website. This Ridge Circle is Diamond Ridge Avenue. Is there a way that our whole community is in the city and pay city taxes, yet this road be a county road?

The original location reported was Ridge Circle. The City of Canton does not maintain this road. However, it was later discovered that the first reporter made a mistake when providing the location. The Director of Public Works has since spoke with the Diamond Ridge HOA President about possible locations for stop signs. The Director is also working with the Chief of Police to possibly get extra patrol in this area as well.

Thank you. The only reason Ridge Circle came into play was because on step 1 of this process you have to drag an icon onto a road on the map. For some reason, the map has this road name as Ridge Circle. It would not let me get past that step without dragging the icon to the proper place first. I didn't know if that was how you referred to this road or not, but I clearly know the name of the road and know it to be Diamond Ridge Avenue. Thanks for your help. The blind knoll on Diamond Ridge Ave is probably going to cause a serious accident. Students have to walk across it to get to their bus stop (on both sides of the knoll) knowing there is the real chance that a vehicle could come flying over the top and strike them. On each side of the knoll there should be speed bumps. There should also be a yellow line in the middle of the road going over the knoll to help drivers stay in their own lanes. Seems like everytime we drive over this knoll there is an oncoming vehicle in my lane swerving back into its own lane. And there absolutely needs to be NO PARKING signs on top of this knoll. Cars park there quite often making drivers go around them in oncoming traffic. I hope it doesn't take a tragedy to get the city or county to take action on this!

I agree with Dave. I sit at my breakfast table each morning and watch kids cross the street on a hiill to catch a bus that stops on a hill.
Since I live at the corner of Diamond Ridge Ave and Diamond Valley Pass I have the unpleasant opportunity to see the cars fly by on Diamond Valley Ave. They go so fast it is impossible to get a tag number to report them. I pray that a tragedy does not happen in order to rectify this problem.

The area is under assessment by the Canton Police Department. Once their assessment is complete we (the Public Works Department) will be notified of where and what type of signs to install. The number to the Canton Police Department is 770-720-4883. It will be more beneficial to contact them directly with concerns.

The study completed by the Canton Police Department did not reveal a speeding problem. They conducted a speed study for two (2) weeks. It captured vehicle speeds for every hour of this two (2) week period. There were only seven (7) violations in which traffic tickets could have been issued. There was over a 99% compliance rate. The results did not reveal a speeding problem and there was no pattern of time established for the seven (7) violations. In addition, the intersections were observed where stops signs have been requested and there is no justification to justify additional stop signs to further regulate through traffic. However, with this being said, the Chief of Police has asked the lieutenant of the Uniform Patrol Division to express your concerns to all of their officers.
