It wasn't meant as a personal attack, Kevin, and my apologies if it sounded that way, but it was an honest question. Barricades don't work, according to the OP, so other than police presence, I don't know what would work. Maybe the OP has a better idea, or another option that could be brought to City Hall. I was curious as to what that might be.

Good Morning, firstly I just want to inquire Mr. Donohue the purpose of your post, as I am a little confused what part of Pegs post was offensive because for the life of me can't see anything wrong with her post. Secondly, I would like to know who keeps putting the barricades back up after someone so kindly takes them down or moves them over so the residents of hazeldell, who are tired of driving on a road that is inconveniently out of the way, full of crater sized pot holes, enuff wash board to rattle out all of your teeth, not just the back ones, causing a growing list of wear and tear on our vehicles. Honest to god do not understand the purpose of having that blocked off except for maybe the 2 days this week, and only this week there were ppl working right there, other than that, there has zero activity on the top of the bridge. So then not only are we terribly inconvenienced by this barricade, but when the under pass is blocked off and we can't get downtown Riverstreet, since we can't turn left at the lights anymore either, come up with an even smarter idea and block off access to the mall parking lot and force everyone to go even further out of their way, I figure that Timmies, gas bars and mechanics are getting kick backs from all the extra traffic caused. The construction in this city is over the top insane, realize it has to be done but it is so very magnified when you live north/west of the river. Must be an election month....I know who I am voting for:) Have a great day...so you all tonight at the Friday Night Lights game!! :)

Better question is why do the barricades have to be there, it doesn't impede traffic. And maybe these "twits" are tired of driving down the back road that is either so dusty and full of ruts or washed out by the rain. Us "dim wits" are tired of the wear and tear on our vehicles driving down the back road detour, that isn't even clearly defined by signage for out of town vehicles. The city tends to forget road maintenance for the taxpaying citizens in the Hazeldell area. So that's probably why the idiots and twits, as in myself and neighbors, tend to go around the road blocks.

yep that back road probably causes like 6 months of regular wear and tear in one trip. people in hazeldale dont get treated like PA tax paying residents which we are.

our mayor scarrow and our councillor greg dionne did nothing to for hazeldale residents over past years no road up keep jus more potholes and roadblocks,guess they dont care and dont live out this way
