My husband was in our front yard with our two toddlers and a gang of them went down east Pearl the wrong way and some were on the sidewalk where my son was a few feet away. So not only are they risking hitting ppl head on but hitting kids and other pedestrians on the sidewalk now! This has to be stopped. The police need to put their foot down and stop being whipped by these idiots.

Last Thursday around 6:30PM, I witnessed 5 dirt bike riders at the intersection of East Grand & Quinnipiac Ave. 2 NHPD officers exited Ziggy's at the same time and paid them no attention. The officers got in their vehicle, bikers turned to look to see what the officers would do and 1 rider could be seen laughing and screaming, "they ain't gonna bother us!" As the officers exited east Grand Ave towards Front St, the riders screeched their tires up the East Grand hill. City of New Haven does not care. Protect your own family and property from these dirt bikes as NHPD and Mayor Harp will not...be sure to pay your taxes on time though.

Didn't they pass a law down to the police that said the police cant chase these riders, go after whoever imposed that rule, cops hands are tied, that's why they pay no mind to them, need that rule lifted ,

SeeClickFix New Haven Nation, time to make some noise of our own. Spring has sprung and again dirtbikes are flying up and streets, through parks, and on sidewalks, terrorizing the city.

On April 28 (Thursday), give the mayor’s office (203 946-8200) to let her know that it’s time to track down the bikes and confiscate!! More calls equals more action and fewer dirtbikes on the streets!!

Community members are always welcome to notify their respective District Manager; however, it’s important that people don’t telephone their District Manager to report an incident which is currently taking place, but instead telephone the incident into the non-emergency line to have officers dispatched.
