Description
This area at the crosswalk where Clipper Bay Drive intersects with Southlake Drive is pitch dark. There is no street lighting there and you can't see your hand in front of your face. When it is dark and a pedestrian is on the cross-walk, no one can see them. Please install a street light at this location. I have asked several times before and have gotten nowhere. This is a very dangerous location.

Thank you for the reply. I just want to add that I walk my dog at that intersection late at night. Even in the winter, that light post is completely blocked by hemlock trees and was put in that location long before the trees were planted. Over the years the trees grew up and totally blocked ANY LIGHT that would illuminate that intersection. I've been on the cross-walk and cars do not slow down or stop for pedestrians. When I turn from Clipper Bay Drive turn left on Southlake, I can't see my hand in front of my face until I reach the light at the entrance to The Broadlands. I could fall down and break my neck I think sometimes. The rest of Windward has enough lighting, but that light probably needs to #1) be relocated away from the trees and closer to the street. AND #2, another light needs to be placed on the other side of the street on Southlake Drive because of the cross-walk. It really is totally PITCH BLACK. Thanks so much for your attention to this, as a resident of Alpharetta I'm concerned for my safety and others as well.
