Description
This new traffic sign impedes traffic from Green River HOA, Green River Village, the two gas stations, and other restaurants in the area, especially when the SR-91W off-ramp has the green signal. Traffic in this area has already been severely impeded due to construction and accidents, backing up Green River Rd and Crestridge Dr on several occasions within the past two months. If the desired plan is to disallow traffic from turning right when the EB Green River Rd traffic is turning left onto the on-ramp, a turn arrow signal should be used instead.
To the best of my knowledge, neither community was consulted upon the posting of this new sign, which could making commuting from the west end of town further odious without a surface street alternative to Yorba Linda.
In addition, a "Do Not Block Intersection" sign should also be posted for EB Green River Dr drivers, as these drivers will often block the intersection when attempting to get onto the on-ramp, further impeding traffic.

The sign itself will probably not solve any traffic issues. Corona PD has very few traffic officers, and I've already seen people disregarding this sign in the short time it's been up, especially when the westbound off-ramp has right of way.
The sign won't stop people who are already failing to yield right-of-way when WB Green River drivers have the signal to turn left onto the ramp, and only hampers drivers who should be able to legally turn right on the red light when the SR-91W off-ramp has the signal, providing no drivers are going through the intersection to get back onto the freeway). In short, it only hurts people who are already following the letter of the law.
