These two broken trees are still there. One hangs over our property and one leans on the fence of the property line. They have not been cut or secured in any way.
I'll re-inspect the property again tomorrow. On my last inspection things appeared secure, however I may have been mistaken on the location. There are several damaged trees in the vicinity on various properties as a result of the storm and some had been taken care of. I'll make another trip there again tomorrow. Could you please specify exactly where the tree/branches are located on the subject property?
If you're looking at the house, they're at the very back right corner. It's easier to see from 35 Sawtell Ave. You are able to look from our property as needed. One of the trees fell and has been leaning for about a year. The tree that is snapped is more recent. I became concerned because I've recently seen children running through that yard. I also don't want them falling toward our yard if the fall further. Thank you for your time and for looking into this.
Thank you. I'll be heading over to re-inspect today and issue the appropriate BOH Order for the owner to comply and make safe the hazardous condition forthwith.
I just re-inspected the property and was able to locate the damaged and hazardous tree. A BOH "Order to Abate the Nuisance" will be sent today to the property owner of record- Ordering the property owner(s) to abate the nuisance and make safe the hazardous condition upon the property which poses a danger to the health and safety of the public. I will update you accordingly on this matter and will be continually following up to ensure prompt compliance with the BOH Order.
The owner is currently complying and has removed the trash and debris (old tires, etc.) from the property and is in the process of removing the broken/dead tree. We've been in contact and the rest of the tree should be completely removed soon. I'm continuing to monitor the situation and will update back when owner in total compliance and tree removed completely.
Property owner currently has a contractor removing all of the debris, broken tree and brush removed from the property. The property owner is currently in compliance.
