Description
Even though I have opted into the City's emergency call list, I received no call to remind those of us on a tag & tow route that we are in danger of being towed tomorrow morning. And, once again, the posted signage is insufficient (a stick in the ground with a sign on it, tacked to a tree, and then nothing for at least 30 feet from that tree to the corner). Please, get the system to work more efficiently. As the City's Web site is keen to remind us, getting towed is costly, but the burden cannot be on residents alone to keep up with a wildly inconsistent schedule. Post signs more effectively and call those who have taken the time to opt in to that service!

We also do recommend downloading the yearly street sweeping schedule and keeping for your records. Doing so will allow you to know well in advance (even before signs are posted) when the sweepers will be in your area sweeping. The schedule is usually posted on the city's website in early Spring before the sweeping season commences. Here is the link. http://cityofnewhaven.com/PublicWorks/sweep/pdfs/Street%20Sweeping%202016%20-2017.pdf
We hope that this helps. Be well!

We stick to the published calendar(website, media and See Click Fix e-notices) except if the day of your scheduled sweeping weather doesn't permit it such as; heavy rain or snow. We only program calls for Tag - Tow neighborhoods and last year was the first year we added your Route 7 to Tag - Tow operations. We have tried really hard to make sure residents in Tag-Tow neighborhoods are aware of their dates.
I'm not suggesting anything about address etc but I can check to make sure you are on the mapping for street sweeping calls so that you'll be reminded next Route 7 street sweeping.Just give us a call at 203-946-6906 and even leave message and I'll check. More than happy to make sure for you. Thanks
