Trapelo Road is one of the worst in the Greater Boston area. It's like driving in a 3rd world country. All the town did this Summer was put cold patch on some of the really bad spots and that's since come up. How a town with taxes this high can go a full Summer without paving it's main road is beyond me. Guess they're trying to keep the local mechanics in business because driving around Belmont is sure to ruin your car eventually. What a joke.

Unfortunately there are two issues in the town of Belmont which originates from poor management:
1. Fixing and upgrading the roads
2. Maintaining the (good ) roads.
City has not done much about repaving the roads over last several years, all they've done is putting patch on top a patch, I'm not sure what they do with the tax money they are collecting.
If there is any road left that is in a reasonable condition; National Grid, Verizon and other utility companies make sure to come and screw it up. It looks like anyone can walk in this town dig the ground and leave a @#$% patch of asphalt and walk away and no one in the city is in charge having them accountable for fixing the road to the original condition. If you drive in the city and pay close attention , you can see that all the bumps and potholes are the result of this issue. This is becoming customary in this town as there is no supervision on the utility companies and their workmanship.
