This issue has not been addressed....hopefully with the warm weather coming, we'll see something soon. Just a footnote.....the speed bumps where the chief of police lives, are very well marked with markings and signs.

The bumps on Lexington Ave are a joke to begin with and dont slow down most people. They were not built tall enough and are nothing like the one on Chapel or the ones on Front St.

Of course, everyone knows how useless our bumps are on Lexington if they have ever driven over them at 25mph. It is as if the person who was contracted to build them collected low rider cars.

It's been over a year now since this issue was placed on here. I recently took a photo of one of the bumps where the city spray painted a triangle with a string a couple of weeks ago (I'll try to put it on here soon). It's pathetic that the city hasn't properly marked these obstacles. They have no problem creating a nuisance with the bumps, yet don't maintain them when the marks wear off. Great job City of New Haven

Just pay your taxes citizen.

I read somewhere that they ran out of the thermal marking tape and have it on order. The work you see done is in preparation for the new markings.

I just go the notice that this issue was listed 399 days ago. Here's a photo of the results to date, totally unacceptable. So this issue is still considered open.

After all this time, the city finally painted a basis arrow on the speed bumps. Yes they are marked, but in a half a$$ way. They are not marked the way the city feels is appropriate, as the speed bumps in the Westville and West rock areas have more markings to suggest the city doesn't feel our neighborhood deserves the proper markings.

yeah, they are kinda half a$$ but so are the bumps themselves. I believe these bumps were made so that Honda Civic lowriders wouldnt go airborn as they race up and down the avenue, its a public safety thing.
