I think this is a good opportunity to clarify and work on DGS's communication skills with the public. This response is exactly the kind of thing that confuses people and turns them off. Please clarify this response for me - what does closed mean? It's been cleaned? If so, bravo and thank you. If not, is It on the list to be cleaned? If it's on the list, is there an approximate timeline? Will you send a letter to the guy who lives across the street and it's his responsibility? "Closed" is pretty meaningless without any explanation. Please understand my frustration.

When graffiti is on private property, we send a letter notifying the property owners that they have sixty days to remove it, and then we reference that section of code on See Click Fix. This particular graffiti was painted over, so it isn't there anymore. That is why we close the issue. If there is still visible graffiti somewhere else, please let us know.

That's terrific - and kudos to the city for cleaning a quality of life eyesore!
My point is, how was I supposed to know that? In my humble opinion it would behoove the city to replace the non-descriptive "completed" with something along the lines of how you responded to me just now "This graffiti was painted over and this request has been completed." Just my two cents.

Thanks again to you and DGS for floating across buckingham pond to paint over an eyesore... you should have tweeted out a picture of that.

The graffiti is still on the concrete structure in the stilling basin...same spot as it was on Friday. Why was this issue closed again?
