Description
It's 5:30 pm and traffic on CPD is backed up into the parking lot at the end of the cul de sac. It's going to take an hour to drive 800 ft. This is insane.

The City of Cambridge will hold a public meeting to discuss traffic concerns related to Cambridge Park Drive on Tuesday, May 3rd at 8:30 AM at The Cafe at 200 Cambridge Park Drive.
City staff from Traffic, Parking, and Transportation, Community Development, Public Works, and the Police Department will be present, as well as representatives from MassDOT, MBTA, and the Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Thanks Brooke. I and many others from my company will be at the meeting and we will make sure our perspective is heard.
I'm very concerned re. your response to an earlier complaint suggesting that the situation was not within Cambridge's control and that the focus for solving the problem was going to be building a pedestrian/bicycle bridge over the train tracks (http://seeclickfix.com/issues/2352454). My own perspective (shared by many of the responders to your post) is that it's a bit of fantasy to believe another bike path through the area (we've already got 4) is going to do anything to address the traffic problem. (I do believe it will make for a nicer living environment in the area but also think it's disingenuous to suggest that this is being done to address the traffic problem). Personally, I already bike every day that I can but there are days when I do have to drive. Many if not most people, though, don't have the ability to do anything other than drive every day.
I see you've assigned this as a Signals issue. I (and most of the folks I know who suffer through the traffic) believe that Cambridge could be doing a much better job of controlling the flow of traffic through the intersections. It's not entirely solved but it's much better on the days when a policeman/policewoman is directing traffic through CPD/Cambridge Park Place. It's even better on those exceptional days when there's also someone directing traffic at CPD/Alewife Brook Parkway. Figuring out how to get police there everyday or, more sustainably, modern controls that adjust the timing of lights in response to traffic demand seems entirely doable given the tax revenue that must be rolling into Cambridge's coffers from CPD and a lot cheaper than building a bridge.
