Description

In the lot of 63/65 Perkins there is an open top commercial/demolition dumpster full of construction debris. The dumpster is completely full and has been this way for weeks. The problem is that residents have begun using this dumpster for their residential garbage, which is thrown on top of the scrap wood and drywall material. The bags of residential garbage are available to birds and squirrels to pilfer threw, which they do by tearing the bags open. The garbage has begun to blow into the street and into neighbors' yards. I routinely have to pick up food packaging and other waste as a result. Additionally, I have noticed an increased number of rodents (possums, skunks, and groundhogs) in the area since it has been warming up and with the food waste available. This property is a rental, so the landlord is not on site, nor does he/she seem to be motivated to remove the full dumpster from the lot. Please see if this can be removed. Thank you.
