Agreed
Why can Somerville do internally so well yet we have to contract out?
Why not add police officers for this with incentives in place for them to better enforce and ticket? The money raised would most assuredly offset the costs of the officers, allow our streets to be safer with a greater police presence?
These contractors could care less- they are terrible at the enforcement

I'd expect most people would agree
It is a flawed and never very motivated system.
Further I would argue that people in my neighborhood have befriended the area "enforcer" which has created a conflict of interest.
The most truly aggravating aspect is when I make a call into the "traffic enforcement" about some particular non compliant residents in the area and they come out and move their cars 3 minutes after I call in!?!?!
Geez-wonder how that is?
The mayor sent a recent survey out-should have another one which includes more pertinent issues (like this) than "overall how happy were you in your last trip to city hall?"
It's ridiculous
Right?!?!
